Kerry & David Kersh are a husband and wife team well versed and well rounded in all things construction and design. But their stories and when and how their paths intertwined far precedes the Kersh brand as we know it today. Truly, their history has all the makings of a Hallmark movie.

Both hailing from small town Texas, while vastly different, their life stories fundamentally mirrored one another. They each grew up saying “yes ma'am” and “no sir,” spent their Friday nights on the local drag, and grew up going to county fairs steeped in charm and dripping with gingham. And, those county fairs would prove to have a huge impact on the trajectory of their lives.

Growing up 270 miles apart, they both discovered at a young age that they each had a pretty extraordinary talent. And, those talents would be honed at their local county fairs and talent shows. They both had magnificent singing voices. As they worked their way through high school, folks began to take notice, and it wasn't just the folks in their small Texas towns. Individually, they found themselves living in Nashville pursuing careers as country music artists. And here, my friends, is where their paths crossed.

Kerry & David both found a multitude of success in their music careers and inevitably out on the road touring. It is on tour where Kerry & David first met. A few years later, Kerry & David were in a serious relationship, and their hearts just weren't in the music scene any more. Perhaps John Denver sang it best:

"Drivin' down the road, I get a feelin'

That I should've been home yesterday, yesterday

Country roads, take me home

To the place I belong"

And, that's exactly what they did. They returned to Kerry's hometown to settle in and surround themselves with those old familiar feelings. It is here that they purchased a real estate business, and their adventure into construction & design began. A few flip houses and a couple kiddos later, the pair began garnishing attention once again... first from the locals in the town they were transforming and then from the folks at HGTV. They went from selling houses to flipping houses, then to building houses and designing them
